Accreditation

The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long San Antonio School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Long School of Medicine designates this live activity up to a maximum of 46.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts certificates of attendance for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Healthcare professionals receiving a certificate of attendance should consult their licensing board for information on applicability and acceptance.

Maintenance of Certification Part II

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 41 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

As an ACCME-accredited CME provider, the UT Health School of Medicine must ensure that its CME activities are independent of the control of commercial interests. A statement verifying your participation at the 2020 Virtual Symposium will be emailed to all attendees on Friday, December 11, 2020.

Certificate of Attendance/CME Certificate

Physicians seeking CME credit for this live continuing medical education activity must complete the online surveys. Certificates may be printed online after completing the surveys.

Certificates of Attendance are available for attendees who need a record of their attendance at the Symposium but do not require or qualify for CME through the online survey. The online survey opened on December 8, 2020 and closes on January 31, 2021. Certificates may be printed online after completing the surveys.
