The 2025 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium® has an exciting third day in store today, in person at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and virtually worldwide.

Each morning, SABCS Meeting News is providing quick reminders and a look at the day’s sessions and special events. For a full schedule, please visit SABCS.org, download the SABCS® app, or visit the SABCS virtual meeting platform.

Don’t forget

  • Last chance for the SABCS Duck Pluck — Support early-career scientists by entering this second annual fundraising raffle. Purchase ducks in person at the SABCS Store in the main lobby of the convention center — but don’t delay! The ducks will be plucked today and winners will be announced tomorrow during the Year in Review session. Learn more at SABCS.org.

  • Refreshment Breaks — Coffee will be served today in high-traffic areas of the convention center, including in Hall 1 during the General Session, in the Level 3 foyers from 2:15 to 2:30 p.m., and during Poster Sessions in the Exhibition Hall, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and again from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

SABCS Celebration

Tonight is the SABCS Celebration, a chance for all SABCS attendees to network and collaborate in an informal environment full of refreshments and music. The Celebration will take place from 8 to 10:30 p.m. in the Texas Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Hotel, next to the convention center.

This second annual event is free for all registered attendees, thanks to the generous support of inaugural premier sponsor AstraZeneca, as well as contributions from premier sponsor Natera Diagnostics and additional underwriters BBG Advanced Therapies and the law firm Farrimond Castillo & Bresnahan.

Plenary Session and General Session

Following five more concurrent Poster Spotlight sessions from 7 to 8:30 a.m., Hall 1 will once again be home to a full morning of featured science and speakers. Come for the first Plenary Lecture and stay for the presentation of impactful abstracts in the second General Session.

FDA session

Today from 4:30 to 6 p.m., FDA panelists will discuss recent approvals for hormone receptor (HR)-positive metastatic breast cancer, including imlunestrant, datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato-Dxd), and trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-Dxd).

Other afternoon sessions

At noon, stop by the Exhibition Hall — open from 12 to 6:45 p.m. today — or head to the Molecular Tumor Board session from 12 to 12:50 p.m. in Stars at Night 1-2.

From 1 to 2:15 p.m., three different sessions will offer insights into controversies, clinical trials, and more.

Once again, a block of five concurrent educational sessions from 2:30 to 4:15 p.m. will cover notable topics, including triple-negative breast cancer, artificial intelligence, and more.

Hear from groundbreaking researcher Ben Ho Park, MD, PhD, during the AACR Distinguished Lecture in Breast Cancer Research from 4:30 to 5 p.m. in Hemisfair 1-2.

An additional Rapid Fire oral presentation session will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Stars at Night 1-2.
