Welcome to San Antonio! We are incredibly excited to join attendees from near and far for the 47th annual San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium®.

We are honored as the co-directors of the Symposium to host the preeminent international scientific meeting for breast cancer research. With more than 10,000 attendees joining in person or virtually in 2023 from more than 100 countries, the SABCS® is the destination for clinicians, researchers, and advocates around the globe to gather, connect, and work together toward the common cause of preventing, treating, and, one day, discovering a cure for breast cancer.

The 2024 SABCS® Program Planning Committee has curated a robust, diverse program to deliver the latest in clinical, translational, and basic research, featuring pressing topics relevant to today’s scientists, physician-scientists, clinical investigators, breast care providers, and patient advocates.

We are proud to showcase breaking clinical trial results in breast cancer research from experts in the field, proving once again that SABCS® is the premier symposium in this field. This year’s program features an array of engaging workshops, special sessions, lectures, and awards. The comprehensive lineup includes State-of-the-Art sessions focused on immunity biomarkers in early breast cancer and the role of artificial intelligence in disease discovery and diagnosis. This year’s Special Sessions will cover timely subjects such as breast cancer prevention, new drug approvals, and somewhat taboo topics like sexual health or alcohol and cannabis use among breast cancer patients. These will almost certainly be among the most discussed sessions of the Symposium, and you won’t want to miss them!

As returning attendees know and first-timers are sure to discover, the SABCS® also provides limitless opportunities to grow and develop in the field of breast cancer by networking with colleagues, meeting mentors, and interacting with experts.

You won’t want to miss the first SABCS® Celebration, either! The night of live music, dancing, and camaraderie was added as an acknowledgment of appreciation for the inspiring work of our dedicated community of specialists working to fight breast cancer.

We’d like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Executive, Program Planning, and Abstract Review Committee members for their steadfast dedication to and support of the SABCS®. A special thank you is also in order for this year’s presenters, moderators, sponsors, and exhibitors for their time and expertise.

We continue to believe in and be inspired by the mission of SABCS® because it creates a special place for critical learning, interaction, and growth between specialists across the many disciplines devoted to improving the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. We are thrilled you have joined us for this exciting week of breast cancer science, treatment, and advocacy!
