Over the past 47 years, the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium® has become the premier event in the field of breast cancer, growing from a local meeting of less than 50 participants to an international gathering of nearly 11,000 attendees. To show appreciation for this dedicated community and its inspiring work, the SABCS® invites all attendees of the 2024 symposium to the inaugural SABCS® Celebration, an evening of refreshments, relaxation, and live music.

“This event will be a great opportunity to network with peers, reconnect with friends and colleagues, and have some fun,” said SABCS® Co-Director Virginia Kaklamani, MD.

The Celebration will be held after the conclusion of sessions Thursday, December 12, from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Texas Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Hotel, next door to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Attendees will be treated to a festive atmosphere, complete with complimentary beverages and appetizers, as well as live entertainment from 1980s New Wave tribute band The Spazmatics. Sporting bowties, plaid pants, taped glasses, and pocket protectors, The Spazmatics transport audiences back to the ‘80s through style and sound, playing covers of familiar songs that are sure to get crowds singing and dancing.
