The SABCS® Exhibit Hall is the central location for conference attendees to visit with exhibitors, network with fellow attendees, and relax in between educational sessions. For 2023, the Symposium is excited to introduce a variety of new features in the Exhibit Hall for attendees to explore.
The Exhibit Hall will be open from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. CT on December 6-7, and from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT on December 8, in Halls 2–3 in the Henry B. González Convention Center.
“The SABCS® Exhibit Hall is always a lively, stimulating space for attendees and exhibitors alike to connect and network. The Symposium wouldn’t be possible without these exhibitors and supporters who share our mission to prevent and cure breast cancer,” said SABCS® Co-Director Virginia Kaklamani, MD. “This year, we’re particularly excited to introduce several new attractions for attendees inside the Exhibit Hall.”
For the first time, SABCS® will have its own booth (924) in the Exhibit Hall. The booth will play five or more SABCS® Snippets podcasts per day, discussing key conference highlights with the previous day’s speakers. A photo booth area with SABCS® and San Antonio backgrounds will be available near the SABCS® Booth for two hours, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, for attendees to capture memories from their conference experience. All photos will be texted to participants on the spot. Attendees can also visit the SABCS® Booth to proactively book their hotels for the 2024 SABCS®.
All attendees are encouraged to visit the SABCS® Store in the Exhibit Hall. While the items for sale won’t be revealed until the conference begins, there will be a variety of fun swag for visitors to bring home with them. SABCS® will also donate a portion of the store proceeds to benefit young investigators.
The new Wellness Lounge is the optimal spot for SABCS® attendees to recharge during the conference. Visitors can experience relaxation through corporate chair yoga meditation and massage therapy. For a dose of four-legged stress reduction, Therapy Animals of San Antonio will be stationed in the Wellness Lounge. The nonprofit organization, which has advanced its mission of “bringing people and animals together for healing” in the community since 1989, will have several canine companions for dog lovers who could use a bit of furry friendship on-site.
The SABCS® will also offer a free Headshot Lounge, sponsored by AstraZeneca, to provide attendees the opportunity to have a free professional headshot taken for their social profiles. Headshots will be photographed on a first-come, first-served basis, with no prior sign-ups required; attendees can drop in when their schedule allows.
This year’s poster sessions will be in the Exhibit Hall as well. As always, these sessions feature abstract presentations from experts covering some of the hottest topics and latest findings in breast cancer research.
